As a dentist my scope of practice is as a general dental practitioner and I am registered as such with the Dental Council of New Zealand under the HPCA Act 2003. I graduated in 1980 with a D.M.D. ( doctorate in dental medicine ) from the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Montreal, Canada, studied for and passed the New Zealand Dental Registration Examination ( NZDREX ) in 1993 at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Otago in Dunedin and gained my NZ dental registration as a general dental practitioner in early 1994 ( DCNZ– DD-2763 ) As a natural medicine practitioner I am a current professional member and fellow of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine ( FACNEM) (https://www.acnem.org/fellowship-main/acnem-fellows/acnem-fellows-g-l/#) I am also a full member of the following professional bodies: the New Zealand Dental Association the Auckland Dental Association, the International Team for Implantology, and the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology.I am a certified instructor in through-transmission alveolar ultrasonography and a published author on such maxillofacial bone disorders as ischaemic bone disease and oral osteoporosis as well as being SMART certified by the IAOMT. D.M.D. (University of Montreal), NZDREX ( Otago University), FACNEM (Dent) (Melbourne), SMART certified (IAOMT), Certified instructor and published author in through-transmission ultrasonography in dental medicine. Dr. Imbeau has been integrating dental medicine and natural medicine in a patient centered approach for over 20 years. He was co-founder of the Bay of Plenty Environmental Health Clinic with the renowned late Dr. Michael Godfrey and subsequently established the Integrative Dental and Natural Health Centre in Auckland, New Zealand. He was on the executive board of the New Zealand Natural Medicine Association for many years.
